How to create and setup a new PLC driver


This document shows how to create and setup a PLC driver, and to use it from ICE and DDEdrive


From the File menu select the Communications setup
Select the Add button to add a new PLC driver
Name the new PLC driver "my plc" or any name you like. Now select COM1 (or the port where the PLC is connected) and select the "Setup" button to set the communications parameters for the port.
Set the communications parameters for the port you selected. This dialog box may vary according to different computers.
Click the Driver tab to view available PLC drivers.
Mark the PLC driver you want to use and click the OK button in the bottom of the dialog box.

To get help on the PLC drivers click on the ? mark in the right top corner of this dialog box, and then click on the list of drivers.
Select myplc and click the "Set as default device" button and click the OK button in the bottom of the dialog box.

If you are using DDEdrive this will select myplc as the default driver at startup.

If you are using ICE you must go to the next step.
