How to create tags in the tag database

This document explains and shows how to create tags in the tag database. The tag database contains a list of strings that the user creates. For each string the user must select what PLC register it should refer to.

Here the tag mytag refers to DM0042 in an Omron PLC

When creating a tag you must give it a name, and choose which PLC register it should refer to. Tags are used in pictures and DDE connections

	Form the File menu select Tag database
	Click the New button to create a new tag
	In the Tag label edit box name the tag setpoint2
	From the drop down list select DM0036 (Omron PLC register names) and click the OK button. This creates an analoque tag.
	You have now created a tag named setpoint2 that refers to PLC register DM36 (in a Omron PLC) Click OK to confirm. The setpoint2 tag can be used for DDE and in MDraw picture objects.
