How to display a background picture in my HMI window

A window can contain one bitmap drawing as a background picture. The bitmap drawing must not be with more than 256 colors and the size must not exceed 1500 kb. If the bitmap is larger you must change the size “Max bitmap KB size=1500" in MDRAW.INI and ICE.INI. The bitmap is not embedded, so if you change the drawing, it will be reflected in the picture the next time you open it.

The bitmap can be moved with the arrow keys and sized with the SHIFT + arrow keys. If the bitmap is scaled to fit the window (zoomed to fit) when inserted, resize of the bitmap will zoom the bitmap, otherwise it is the size of the bitmap, that will be cut.

This example uses the DEMOPROJECT that is delivered with ICE.

Start MDraw and create a new HMI window.
Select the background bitmap picture
Select the file maschine.bmp
Click OK here
The bitmap is now displayed in the HMI window.
To resize and move the bitmap, select this menu and follow the instructions.

When done use ESC to abort changes or the ENTER key to accept changes.
