How do I replace a tag name in multiple HMI windows

Often you will need to replace or rename a tag in the tagdatabase. If that tag also exist in some of your picture objects it must be replaced. Here the Replace function come into action. It will scan and replace selected tags in the open picture. As the compiler the Replace function will dig into embedded tags that is placed in seperate text files

If you want to rename a tag, rename it in the tagdatabase. Open the picture where the tag is used and select the Replace tags from the Edit menu.

If you want to replace a tag with another tag, open the picture where the tag is used and select the Replace tags from the Edit menu.

This example uses the DEMOPROJECT that is delivered with ICE.

Open a HMI window
Open the e5ek-4.pic file
Select Replace tags
Find tag counter1000 and
replace it with counter9999 tag.

This must be done with each HMI window where tags are to be replaced.

Remember to save each HMI window after running the replace function.
